- Using the Chart below, find images you like for the particular poses and paste them into the second column of the template. Include the name of the photographer.
- In the last column, write about what you like about each pose, in complete sentences. Think of the angle, mood, lighting, setting, where subject is looking, and of course composition.
- Don’t copy exactly, but use these as a starting point for your images, print it out and bring it with you on your shoot.

C. Export
Export images as low resolution JPGS to place in your Google Doc.
D. Reflect
In Google Classroom Open the Senior Portrait Reflection assignment. Open the template provided and place your images in the template. First- write a blog post/summary of the portrait session, this will be posted on your blog along with your images of your partner. Next- you will write about each individual shot- under the framing technique add the image and write a paragraph about what you were trying to convey in the shot. Consider posing, lighting, props, location, depth of field, mood, composition, editing and any other elements that contribute to the final image. Complete your reflections for and then turn in to Google Classroom.
When you place the photos in your blog think of the presentation- Are you going to just drop the images in? Do you want them in a template or with a watermark?

KAYLEE | MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL
It gives us warm fuzzies when our new clients are referred to us by several of their friends! And that’s how we met Kaylee, through several of our past clients. Right off the bat, we could see that Kaylee is full of smiles and very cheery and immediately knew that it was going to be a fun session.
She’s a star athlete! She plays volleyball and is also a swimmer and a runner! We share in her excitement of playing college volleyball next year. Go Kaylee!
Her friends describe her as:
-fashionable
-hard working
-active
-athletic
-energetic
-fun
-friendly
-out-going
-adventurous
-funny
And we have to share a very awesome fun fact about Kaylee: she and her best friend started a business called Made by Maddy! It’s so great to see young women pursuing a passion or a business venture or whatever moves them!
Check them out here on Etsy Made by Maddie.

Meet La Costa Canyon High School’s class of 2016 senior, McKenna O’Neil. We went to the San Elijo Lagoon in Salona Beach to photograph her senior portraits.
McKenna has a lot going on for a 17-year-old. She is a member of the gymnastics team at La Costa Canyon HS. McKenna is an active member of her church and has recently gone on mission trips to Encinitas, Mexico and to the Los Angeles neighborhood of Compton. She also has a full load of AP classes — including AP Calculus (I’m impressed by that one!)
McKenna is one of five kids. Her older brother graduated from La Costa Canyon HS last year. Her other siblings are involved with dance and piano and other activities — her parents are probably glad she’s driving because I can image that house has a busy schedule to manage!
Not only does she have a great smile and the perfect freckles, but she has a huge heart to match.
I wish her the best of luck in her last year of high school. Can’t wait to see what the next chapter of her life brings. Cheers McKenna!!
