​Cinemagraph Tutorials:
  • How to make your pictures COME TO LIFE using a CINEMAGRAPH
  • PHLERN: How to Create a Cinemagraph in Photoshop
  • PHLERN: Cinemagraph how to #2 (different way)
 
  1. Read article about ‘Cinemagraphs’.
  2. Read about how to create your own cinemagraph in Photoshop. 
  3. Look at the following website for examples. Hongkiat.com | Flixel | Convince & Convert | Cinemagraph.com | Business Insider 
  4. In your sketchbook, start to draw out your own sketch for your Cinemagraph with a concept. 
  5. Once sketch is complete, have it approved by Mrs. Olden & scan.
  6. In the Google Doc, write a short description of your idea- including props, location, people that you will be using.
  7. You will use the D3100, D3300 or D5300 to film your images. A tripod is essential!!! Set up the shot focusing on composition - you need to start with a compelling composition. 
  8. Read tips on shooting video on a DSLR camera: read me!
  9. Set up the camera to shoot video and repeat the scene several time with different angles.
  10. Upload videos to new folder 'Cinemagraph' in your G: drive
  11. Read directions and start making your Cinemagraph - Read

Lots of deadlines this week - see Google Classroom for turn-in info. Below is a list of what is due in order of importance:
  1. San Diego County Fair Entry- you must turn in your high resolution photo to the Student Common by the end of class Wednesday (5/10) or you will not be in the fair.
  2. Museum of Photographic Art's Youth Exhibition 'Boundaries' is due this week. You must select a photo, write 100 words or less about the image concept, connecting it to the theme. Then export the image according to the size requirements, and submit your entry to MOPA. You must take a screenshot of your entry confirmation to receive credit. Submission window closes 5/11 at 11:59pm.
  3. San Diego Fair project description - write about your image explaining the concept, art aspects, and technical aspects of the image. Print out to HP Color LaserJet 4525 and trim neatly. We will add this to the back of your fair entry.
  4. Non-Literal Portrait, must be turned in by Friday 5/12. We will be presenting next week after the fair entries are complete.
